I can't sleep.
With every sappy gay movie I see, I'm consumed with this overwhelming conclusion that finding someone amazing is at the intersection of fate with chance. In the movies, it's clever writing, often integral to the plot, but in real life the convergence is something a bit more unscripted.
I'm considering giving many/most of the social networking sites that I'm on. Half for the privacy I'd like to have and half for the relationships I'd like to have. How realistic is it going to be that I find someone on myspace that I fall in love with. Chances are, I'll IM them lured by a false pretense like a trite bathroom shot or a picture of their abdominals, while those are valid forms of self-expression, they don't do much to stimulate love like they stimulate a certain other piece of lure. None of the relationships I have with people online with come to become anything more than friendship, and I need to realize that I can't keep attaching myself to this global cyber world.
Now if I could only tempt Fate and lure Chance...

To be fair (read: "accurate"), you only have profile to 'see what the fuss is about.' I paraphrased, of course.
